Picture this: Your photos on display at National Press Club

Attention National Press Club photographers, pro and amateur alike: Mark your calendars and start reviewing your photo collections for images to hang in the Club's 18th annual Members' Photography Exhibit, on display in the 13th floor lobby during September.

The exhibit -- not a contest, but a display of the club's photography talent -- is a production of the Club's Photography Team and open to all members, who may submit up to four images. Photos must be securely mounted or matted, and no larger than 14 by 11 inches. No glass, frames, or canvas prints are permitted.

This year the event is adding something new: an electronic display of members' photos, both online and in a slideshow presented with the print exhibit in September. Like the print exhibit, Club members can submit up to four images for this electronic display. They can be the same four photos in the print exhibit or different. And if you want to enter your images only in the electronic exhibit, that's fine.

"The members' annual photo exhibit exemplifies our Club of Champions," said National Press Club President Jeffrey Ballou. "When seen together in one show in our lobby, these images offer not only a sampling of our members' photographic talent, but also a powerful display of visual story-telling. It's one of our must-see events."

Members should plan on depositing all images ready for hanging in the Club's 13th floor membership office between Monday, July 31, and Friday, August 11. Submissions for the electronic display will be accepted during that period as well. We will publish complete exhibition rules shortly. Until then, good luck and good photo shoots.
