PR entrepreneur Doug Poretz to speak at Communicators Team 'Legends' dinner, Thursday

Public relations executive and entrepreneur Doug Poretz will be the featured speaker at the National Press Club's Communicators Team's next "Legends" dinner on Thursday, June 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fourth Estate Winners’ Room.

The intimate dinner is exclusive to all National Press Club members and will include a three-course meal served with wine for $62. Space is limited. Register online.

Poretz, a founding partner of Qorvis Communications, will discuss lessons learned and what he now sees as an explosive revolution in the communications industry.

In more than five decades in public relations, he has built one-person firms into successful agencies, worked in executive communications at some of the largest publicly traded companies and launched a public affairs office for Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia during the racial integration of the school system, depicted in the movie "Remember the Titans."
