Publishers Group Has Opening for VP of Communications

The Association of American Publishers is seeking a vice president for communications to lead the association’s external outreach strategy and to help shape opinion concerning the value of both print and digital content. Working with members, this individual will create and deliver AAP’s brand messaging and manage legal, legislative and regulatory communications.

The successful candidate will have 12 to 15 years of experience in public relations/public affairs. AAP is seeking a contemporary communications thinker with experience in using traditional and non-traditional marketing/communications channels to reach target audiences. Outstanding writing ability, especially under pressure, state-of-the-art knowledge and experience with social media, and proven ability to work with national media outlets is required. The capacity to collaborate effectively with others is essential, and experience in successful corporate branding campaigns is preferred.
