Pulitzer Photo Presentation, Noon Nov. 17

Carol Guzy, Washington Post photojournalist, will present a copy of one of her three Pulitzer Prize-winning photos to the Club during a lmeeting of the Photography Committee at noon, Wednesday, Nov. 17, in the McClendon Room.

All Club members are welcome to attend; however, seating is limited in the McClendon Room, so please arrive early.

This will be the first Pulitzer Prize-winning photo taken by a woman photojournalist to be displayed on the NPC's walls as part of the Club's permanent Pulitzer photo collection. In addition, Guzy will show and discuss other photos she has taken.

Guzy spent eight years at the Miami Herald before moving to Washington in 1988, where she is a photographer at the Washington Post. Guzy was honored twice with the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography for her coverage of the military intervention in Haiti and for the devastating mudslide in Armero, Colombia. She has received a rare third Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography for her work in Kosovo. Guzy was named Photographer of the Year for the National Press Photographers Association three times and eight times for the White House News Photographers Association.
