Registrations Due for PR Seminar on Social Media

The deadline to register for a half-day conference on integrating social media into communications strategy is today, Thursday, Sept. 30.

The latest techniques and technologies in digital and social PR will be the subject of the conference at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in the First Amendment Lounge. The cost is $155 for members and $185 for non-members.

The panelists include: Amy Lupold Bair, blogger at ResourcefulMommycom; Peter Waldheim, senior strategist to the Social Media Business Council; Mark Drapeau, director of innovative social engagement at Microsoft; Alan Rosenblatt, associate director for online advocacy at CAPAF; Darren Krape, new media advisor at the State Department; Jenna Mills, account supervisor at Adfero Group.

They will explain how to leverage social media to expand the reach of your message to engage more stakeholders and being both proactive and reactive in monitoring effectively and responding appropriately to questions and comments in an age of instant communication.
