Reliable Source invites members to Cinco de Mayo celebration today

National Press Club members and their guests are invited to attend an all-day celebration of Cinco de mayo in the Reliable Source. The menu below is expected to be available all day with Taco Night also available beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Cinco de Mayo Menu Friday May 5, 2023

Soup:  Black bean soup with avocado and sour cream garlic, red onion, celery, carrot, jalapeno, and vegetable stock $7

Hors d’ oeuvres:

• Beef empanadas served with guacamole, mint & tomato salsa. $9
• Chicken tamales with lime sour cream, and Pico de Gallo $9
• Mexican shrimp ceviche $10

Entrees:

• Three cheese and chicken enchiladas with red tomato sauce, sour cream, and Pico de Gallo $18
• Honey, cilantro, and lime marinated bone-in-chicken served with rice and beans $19.
• Carne Asada Street Tacos:  Flank steak-Carne Asada marinated with cilantro, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper $20 
• Shrimp Kebobs with rice and beans:  Shrimp-marinated with oregano, paprika, cumin, garlic, salt, and peppers $20

Dessert:  Cinnamon sugar churros chocolate and raspberry sauce caramel flan $9

Specialty drinks $11

• Paloma cocktail: The Paloma is one of the more traditional mixed drinks enjoyed throughout Mexico: tequila with sweet, tart grapefruit juice, lime, and sugar.
• Tamarind Margarita: Tequila, Cointreau, orange juice, tamarind syrup, and lime juice
• Michelada Marias: A Michelada is a Mexican drink made with beer, lime juice, Assorted sauces (often chili based ), spices, and chili peppers. It is served chilled.
