Reliable Source Lunch Buffet plans to feature recipe from Post Food Section

The National Press Club's Reliable Source plans to showcase Cazuela Aztec, or Chicken and Tortilla Aztec Casserole on the Lunch Buffet on Friday, Feb. 17.

The recipe appeared in the Wednesday, Feb. 15 Washington Post Food Section.

The Food Section is a weekly tradition in many daily newspapers. In some cities, almost everyone reads the Food section even if they don’t cook. To help readers who do cook, the Reliable Source kitchen will make a recipe from a weekly Food Section, generally on Thursday or Friday. The recipe may come from a variety of dailies, but most often from a local paper. The completed dish will be on the lunch buffet. Copies of recipes will be available —- with changes made to the recipe as published. The Reliable Source will road-test recipes with ingredients one may not readily have in the pantry. This is a service to members.

The lunch buffet is available to members in the Reliable Source, Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for $9.80, plus tax and tip, which includes salad bar, chili or soup and dinner rolls. The salad bar alone with soup or chili and dinner roll is $7.50. For reservations, please contact Meskin Mekonen by calling 202-662-7443.
