Reliable Source opens for lunch every weekday beginning July 26

After offering limited meal service, the Reliable Source will be open every weekday for lunch beginning next week. 

Effective Monday, July 26, the restaurant will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Previously, full waiter service was available only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the dining room open for members who ordered online on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Now waiter service will be available every weekday.

"This is a welcome increase in services at the Reliable Source,” Club President Lisa Matthews said. “We are expecting to see many more members and their guests visiting the Reliable Source for lunch in the future. The Club can use the business, and our waiters can use the tips.” 

The Reliable Source's evening hours continue to be limited. The restaurant is open Friday evenings for Taco Night and dinner service. It also is open for special events like Pub Quiz.

Members can always order from the online store for takeout for dinner Monday through Thursday.  

The Reliable Source has been averaging about a dozen covers for lunch, serving approximately 20. Taco Nights and Friday dinner service have seen about 50 to 60 members most nights after an opening night of more than 100 members.

While there is no longer a guest limit for Taco Night, the Club asks members to exercise good judgment and not bring more than three guests so that members who want to attend may do so. Tacos are free for members with a two-drink minimum. Members will be charged a fee for nonmember guests for tacos, and guests also are asked to meet the drink minimum.
