Rodrigo Valderrama: Candidate for communicator on Club board

Dear Club Communicator Member:

I ask for your vote to continue my work on your behalf. Your “Communicator” Vote for Rodrigo A.-VALDERRAMA will support a continuing, active effort to extend a vote and greater participation to this club’s membership component.

Communicator members should be able to vote for club officers, each membership voting for its Governors.

During my 2-year tenure I’ve worked, spoken-out and done everything I could with a limited Communicator vote on the Board to achieve greater transparency, governance and keep it dynamic for members. I’ve staunchly supported Communicators, advancing our cause and participation as well as our voice so that the club can result in a more gratifying and beneficial experience for you, your family and clients.

My full bio is online at the Members section of the NPC website.

My Twitter tag: @GovernorNPC.

I was the only Communicator Governor to vote against the hike in member fees last year. Catering operations should support member prices. I’ve striven to maintain member benefits while they are slowly being chipped away.

Everything, especially what effects members, including internal reviews and guidelines should be available in writing. Full clarity.

What do we want to see at the club, taste at the restaurant and bars? What do we want to feel as well as do, during and after events and activities for membership and the public?

I’ve met with Communicators to expand club networks.

The “game room” should be more comfortable, – updated – for quiet use when not in play mode. It needs urgent updating.

The gym and locker rooms should be a priority for capital investment. The members’ areas need as much, or more, attention and care as catering facilities.

I propose we regularly enhance our interaction with experts of timely topics of interest to members, including international conference calls with other members and nonmembers who can inform regarding, e.g., a breaking flu or security item.

My undergraduate degree: International Business - American University. Graduate MPAA: World Theory and History/International Economics at Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

Please vote for me, to benefit you.

Rodrigo
