Save the Date: Dinner to center on new recipes from Russian cookbook by Darra Goldstein, March 26

Author Darra Goldstein returns March 26  to the Fourth Estate restaurant for a dinner featuring recipes from her new Russian cookbook, “Beyond the North Wind; Russia in Recipes and Lore.”

Goldstein, an expert in Eastern European cuisine  tackles Russian home cooking with more than 100 recipes, including an array of pickles, infused vodkas, pies and seasonal vegetable soups.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on March 26 with hors d'oeuvres. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $95 per person and include one copy of the book. Couples tickets cost $180 and also include one copy of the book. National Press Club members may purchase tickets at a 15% discount, however, you must be signed into the website to receive the discount.

This is Goldstein's second appearance at Fourth Estate. Her sold out dinner and talk in November 2018 featured Georgian cuisine and her book “The Georgian Feast: The Vibrant Culture and Savory Food of the Republic of Georgia."  

She is also the author of “Fire + Ice,” nominated for a James Beard Award and a founding editor of “Gastronomica:  The Journal of Food and Culture.” Her work has appeared in Saveur, Bon Appetit and The New York Times.
