Sportscaster Phil Wood to join Club at Nationals game Saturday

Phil Wood, host of “Nats Talk” on MASN, the cable TV home of the Washington Nationals, will meet the National Press Club contingent attending this Saturday's game at Nationals Park.

Members of the group can gather near Wood's radio studio, which he calls "The Little Red Box," in the Center Field Plaza at 6:15 p.m. for an informal question-and-answer session.

Game time is 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. Tickets in our left field mezzanine section (a level lower than last year) are just $31 each, plus a small ticketing fee. Guests of Club members are welcome.

Tickets must be purchased at https://groupmatics.events/#/event/NationalPressClub.

If the system asks for an access code, then please use NationalPressClub (no spaces). Once you’ve completed your transaction, you should be able to print your tickets.

Wood also hosts “Nats Talk Live,” a post-game call-in show on the Nationals’ radio network, and appears regularly on MASN's “Mid- Atlantic Sports Report.” He's the co-host of “Nats Talk,” now in its fifth season, with former major league lefty Mike Wallace every Saturday morning on MASN.

He also occasionally fills in for Ray Knight, the most valuable player of the 1986 World Series and now a Nats broadcaster, on "Nats Xtra," which airs before and after every game.
