Toast the holidays with seasonal cocktails at Reliable Source's annual buffet, Dec. 12
Seasonal food and drinks are on the menu at the National Press Club’s annual buffet dinner for members and guests at the Reliable Source restaurant on Thursday, Dec. 12.
The sumptuous holiday feast will be accompanied by cool jazz from The Renée Tannenbaum Trio.
Buffet service begins at 5:30 p.m., with the jazz following at 6 p.m. in the Truman Lounge. Price is $30 for Club members, $35 for nonmember guests. Special holiday drinks are $10 each.
Tannenbaum regularly performs around Washington at venues including Blues Alley, Mr. Henry’s, Bistrot Lepic and the Smithsonian. She recently completed a tour in Europe where she performed in Prague and Rome.

Soup: Oyster stew with spinach and artichokes

Spinach salad, dried apricots, cranberries and almonds
Blue cheese pear salad, pomegranate seeds and toasted hazelnuts
Winter apple salad, romaine, sugared cranberries and cashews; poppyseed vinaigrette
Cranberries, oranges and walnut relish
Hot Buffet:
Roast goose (carved to order).
Christmas Eve seven fish stew with fennel and tomatoes
Apricot and ginger glazed bone-in ham
Cornbread surprise holiday stuffing
