Tony Horton Discusses Obesity, Leads Exercise Class 1 pm July 16

Tony Horton, fitness trainer and creator of the P90X Extreme Home Fitness system, will speak at a "boot camp" luncheon at 1 p.m. Friday, July 16.

He will discuss his call for the Department of Defense to modify its physical training doctrine to include a "functional fitness" approach, the impact of obesity within the U.S. military, and the trend of potential military recruits considered too fat to fight.

As part of the program, the audience will be invited to join in a P90X demonstration workout.

A sit-down luncheon will not be served. Boxed take-home llunches and bottled water will be distributed at program's conclusion.

A reception for NPC members who purchased tickets is at 12:30 p.m.
