U Street Collective Jazz will add sounds of season to Holiday Buffet, Dec. 15

Back by popular demand, the U Street Collective Jazz will entertain National Press Club members at the Club's Holiday Buffet dinner on Thursday, Dec. 15.

The price of the buffet is $24 for Club members and $28 for nonmembers.

Here is the buffet food and drink menu:

Soup:

Spiced pumpkin soup with gruyere croutons

Salads:

Spinach with sugared cranberries, oranges, cinnamon pecans and ginger dressing

Green salad with pomegranates, spiced apples, goat cheese and mulled cider vinaigrette

Creamed cucumbers, dill, mint and crispy Vidalia onion garnish

Jelled cranberries, oranges and walnuts

Hot Buffet:

Smoked Bone-in ham with mango chutney glaze; [carved to order]

Roast goose with apples and cranberries

Seven fish Christmas Eve stew with fennel, tomatoes and peppers

Apple and pecan herb bread dressing

Vegetarian three mushroom lasagna with spinach, two cheeses and béchamel

Mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy

Wild and basmati rice, roasted Brussels sprouts, black eyed peas and pearl onions

Dessert:

Chocolate and Grand Marnier Buche de Noel

Profiterole caramel Christmas tree with vanilla custard

Pecan tart
