Upcoming elections, local journalism lead topics for virtual talk by Politico's Harris, Washington Post's Hamburger, Oct. 6

Two respected and influential journalists are set to appear together in an hourlong online event at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to explore the upcoming elections and the state of local journalism. Register in advance for the Zoom event.

The first presidential debate has already generated much fodder for national conversations, and the two now have fresh material to add to their discussion.

John Harris is co-founder of Politico, one of the nation's most successful digitally focused journalism startups. He stepped down as editor-in-chief last year but continues to cover national politics as a Politico columnist.

Tom Hamburger is the Washington Post's investigative reporter focused on the intersection of money and politics. He is a 2018 Pulitzer Prize and George Polk Award recipient, and an MSNBC political analyst.
