Virtual Book Rap features member’s tome on building rural water systems in developing countries, Nov. 5

Michael Curley, a member of the National Press Club, plans to discuss his book, "Environmental Finance for the Developing World," at a Virtual Book Rap Thursday, Nov.5, at 7 p.m.

To receive an invitation to join the event, sponsored by the Book & Author Group, please email Heather Forsgren Weaver.

Despite its imposing title, the book is largely about bringing safe drinking water and basic sanitation to poor villages in rural areas in the developing world.

It is based on Curley’s personal experience building water systems in 15 villages in Kazakhstan and developing programs to provide these services in several of the other former Soviet Republics. It is also based on his work building rural water systems in Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

The Book & Author Group seeks to produce Book Raps for members to promote their recently published books. To inquire about the group, please contact Joe Motheral at [email protected]. The group meets (currently virtually) on the second Tuesday of the month at noon.
