Want to help honor the nation's best journalism?

The National Press Club is looking for Club members with a sharp eye for excellent journalism.

We have a few openings in our judge panels for the 2016 journalism contest. This is a chance to join a talented group that helps with one of the Press Club's most important jobs -- recognizing the best, most thoughtful journalism in the country.

The winners of the awards are expected to be announced at a dinner this summer at the Club. Judges will get a free ticket to the dinner and judge panels usually get together at the Press Club for a lunch to choose their winners.

Judges should be Press Club members and be reporters with a solid background in journalism. Please offer some details of your journalism background.

The contest entries are submitted online, so it helps if judges are comfortable using that online system. If you are asked to be a judge, you will need to create an account on that system within a few days and get familiar with how to navigate that system and look at entries.
