Watch GOP debate in conviviality of Reliable Source, Dec. 15; public Debate Watch Party canceled

Sure, you can watch the latest Republican debate next Tuesday, Dec. 15, night at home. But why sit at home when you can watch the GOP hopefuls go at it in the convivial company of other Club members and friends at the Club's Reliable Source restaurant?

The restaurant will air the debate in the Truman Lounge on its wider screen (wider, probably, than yours at home) at 8 p.m.

The Reliable Source will be the only place at the Club you can watch the telecast. The Debate Watch party previously scheduled for the Club's Conference Rooms and open to the general public at charge, has been canceled. There is no admission for the viewing in the Reliable Source, which is open to members and guests only.

Combine the viewing with dinner at the restaurant, which will offer a special menu with the following goodies:

Nibble food/Appetizer:

Five spice pork lettuce wraps (4 wraps/order), $8

Entrees:

Coconut shrimp on Polynesian spinach salad, $21

Lamb Stew with mushrooms and peas over mashed potatoes, $18

Pork tenderloin with capers, sun-dried tomatoes, and olives, couscous and fried chickpeas, $19

Dessert:
Elephant cookies with ice cream, $7

These special drinks will be available throughout the evening:

Reliable Source martini $7

NPC merlot, $5.09

Pinot Noir Dom Burnet, France, $6.25
