This Week in National Press Club History

April 12, 1958: The Club celebrates its 50th anniversary at the Shoreham Park Hotel, with 13 surviving charter members as honored guests. Member and former President Harry S. Truman makes a surprise appearance.

April 13, 2007: Baseball great Cal Ripken Jr. tells a Press Club luncheon, “Its always amazing to me the things that I come by just because I was a ball player.”
