July 25, 2007: First Lady Laura Bush thanks a National Press Club luncheon “for all you do for our country.”

July 29, 1996: Dr. Jack Kevorkian gives a fiery speech at a Club luncheon in defense of doctor-assisted suicide.

July 30, 1984: Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam leader, addresses a Club luncheon. In protest, Theodore White returns his Fourth Estate award.
