This Week in National Press Club History: President Harding votes in Club election

December 15, 1921: President Warren G. Harding, former publisher of the Marion (Ohio) Daily Star and an active National Press Club member, casts his vote at the annual Club election.

December 18 2007: Actor Morgan Freeman discusses the impact of severe storms and hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and talks about the mission of his organization, Planet Now, to help residents in those regions protect their homes and businesses against storm disasters.

This Week In National Press Club History is brought to you by the History & Heritage Committee, which preserves and revitalizes the Club’s century-old history through revolving lobby displays, events, panel discussions, and its long-standing oral history project, which now contains over two hundred interviews of major Club officers and personnel.
