Welcome Karoun Demirjian to the National Press Club

The Harvard-and-Tufts-educated journalist Karoun Demirjian works for the Las Vegas Sun in DC. She's been working regularly as journalist since 2007, with stints at the Chicago Tribune, Congressional Quarterly and most recently reporting for AP from Israel, the West Bank and Gaza strip.

She got her start with internships during graduate school at Tufts. She sings professionally in the evenings and once was forcibly ejected from Azerbaijan.
