What became of Elizabeth Bennet? ‘Pemberley’ mystery on Books & Brunch, May 18

Books & Brunch meets at noon Saturday, May 18 at the Fourth Estate restaurant to discuss “Death Comes to Pemberley” by P.D. James.

Join Club members for brunch and a rousing discussion about the fate of Ms. Bennet and Mr. Darcy as mystery writer P.D. James takes up where Jane Austen left off. The novel begins in 1803, six years after the couple has married, with the sudden appearance of Elizabeth’s sister, Lydia.

Club members and their guests are welcome. Please RSVP to Books & Brunch chairman Jack Williams at [email protected] so he can reserve sufficient space.

Planning ahead? Books & Brunch will read “The Swerve How the World Became Modern” by Stephen Greenblatt for the June 15 meeting.
