What is the impact of PR? Join discussion at Communicators Breakfast, Wednesday

A discussion on measuring the impact of public relations will be the feature at the National Press Club Communicators Breakfast at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, in the Cosgrove Lounge.

Lindsay Murphy, a member of the Club's Board of Governors and vice president at Racepoint Global, will lead a discussion on how organizations are leveraging and promoting the success of their public relations efforts.

The event is open and free to Club members, and a complimentary Continental Breakfast will be served. Register online.

There is no shortage of recommendations on how to effectively measure public relations results, including influencer reach, media impressions, press clippings, social media mentions and website traffic. Murphy will highlight these and other indicators that help gauge and demonstrate the effectiveness of public relations and the important role a communications strategy plays in the success of an organization.

Murphy is vice president in the Washington office of Racepoint Global, an integrated marketing communications agency. She started her career on Capitol Hill and has since held positions at nonprofit and trade associations and public relations agencies, where she has directed public affairs strategy and outreach.
