Where's the beef? There'll be lots of it at the Reliable Source's steak dinner, Thursday night

Ready to sink your teeth into a tender, expertly cooked steak? Then reserve a table at the Reliable Source for Thursday evening, Aug. 23.

The National Press Club's popular 14th Floor restaurant will offer a special, three-course steak dinner with a glass of champagne, beginning at 5:30 p.m. If you or a guest don't care for steak, vegetarian lasagna is also on the menu.

The cost is $28 for Club members and $35 for nonmembers, plus tax and gratuity.

FIRST COURSE

Choice of:

Iceberg wedge salad with croutons, bacon and blue cheese; Ranch dressing or Herb Vinaigrette; or

Soup of the day

ENTREE

Choice of:

Certified Angus beef bacon wrapped filet, mushroom wine sauce, chive mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach; or

Monster veal porterhouse steak, Merlot demi-glace, baked russet potato with sour cream and cheddar cheese and grilled asparagus

Vegetarian butternut squash lasagna with cranberries, hazelnuts and béchamel; over sautéed greens

DESSERT

Choice of:

Bread pudding with brown sugar rum sauce and whipped cream; or

Triple chocolate ice cream, brownie sundae with chocolate bourbon sauce; or

Three cheese plate with sesame lavash, orange slices and cinnamon walnuts
