This Week In National Press Club History

September 24, 2007: Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is questioned by Club President Jerry Zremski at the Club’s first-ever videoconference luncheon. Ahmadinejad appeared via videolink from New York, where he was attending the United Nations General Assembly.

September 25, 1941: Edward, Duke of Windsor, visits the Press Club again, this time with the Duchess of Windsor, having abdicated the British throne in 1936. Other royal visitors to the Club include the future emperor of Japan, Crown Prince Akihito in 1953 and Prince Albert II of Monaco in 2009.
