World Food Program Leader at Sept. 29 Luncheon

Josette Sheeran, executive director of the World Food Program, will speak on overcoming the challenges that threaten the state of food security in the world at a National Press Club luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

As leader of the UN agency since 2007, Sheeran oversees the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.

At a time of increasing weather-related disasters combined with economic pressures, WFP is feeding more than 100 million people in more than 70 countries.
