Young Members to Host Leinwand 6:30 pm, May 17

USA Today reporter and former National Press Club President Donna
Leinwand will join the Club's Young Members group for cocktails and
conversation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 17.

Leinwand covers the Justice Department, major crimes, legal issues, disasters
and terrorism. She has reported from Baghdad on the Iraq War, from Indonesia
and Thailand after the tsunami, and on more than 20 hurricanes and the recent
earthquake in Haiti.

Previously, Leinwand worked as a regional reporter covering Congress and the federal government for Knight Ridder's Washington bureau and then Gannett News Service. Before moving to Washington in 1997, Leinwand covered crime and poverty for The Miami Herald.
