Your chance to meet more than 100 authors -- at Book Fair, Friday

2019 NPC Book Fair

More than 100 authors will share their most recent titles at the National Press Club Journalism Institute’s 2019 Book Fair & Authors’ Night this Friday, Nov. 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for the annual event are $5 for National Press Club or Politics & Prose members and $10 for the public. Buy your ticket here.

In addition to being an opportunity to meet authors and pick up gifts for the avid readers in your life, the Book Fair raises funds for the National Press Club Journalism Institute, the nonprofit affiliate of the National Press Club.

It’s a chance to support fellow Club members, meet your favorite authors and discover new ones, including Marlin Fitzwater, "Calm Before the Storm"; Dorothy Butler Gilliam, "Trailblazer"; and James Reston Jr., "The Impeachment Diary".

Club members Kara Arundel, Ed Barks, Peter Copeland, Michael Curley, Philip Greene, William M. Grigg, Tom LoBianco, Alicia Mundy, Andy Parker, Joe Rothstein, Meryle Secrest, and Larry Waterfield are among confirmed authors in this year’s fair.

The fair is expected to feature a robust children’s section along with selections in cooking, sports, fiction, health and medicine, history, law, lifestyle, mystery, psychology, sports, travel, true crime and regional interests.

The Journalism Institute has partnered with landmark local bookseller Politics & Prose to coordinate the event.
